POLICY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Shaping the Future of Agriculture Through Grassroots Policy Development

Your Voice, Our Policy: Join the Movement!

Purpose of the Committee

At the heart of the Fulton County Farm Bureau® is our pride in a farmer member-controlled, grassroots policy development process. This process ensures that our policies are not only reflective of our members’ collective voice but are also well-researched, thoroughly debated, and responsibly crafted. Our bottom-up approach guarantees that the policies we advocate are clear, reasonable, and represent the best interests of the agricultural community.

  • Drafting Policy Recommendations: Formulating well-considered policy recommendations to address these issues effectively.
  • Presenting to Members: Sharing these recommendations with our members at the county annual meeting for approval and adoption.

Time Commitment

Members of the Policy Development Committee are expected to:

  • Participate in Committee Meetings: Engage in discussions and planning sessions.
  • Collaborate with Experts: Interact with resource people for better insight into the issues.
  • Attend Training and Issue Meetings: Stay informed and up-to-date on relevant topics and methodologies.
  • Prepare Resolutions: Draft clear and actionable resolutions for the annual meeting.
